The Arbuckle Farm in Mahomet/Hensley townships, Champaign County, Illinois sold at auction on 7/14/2011.  The farm was sold using the multi-parcel bidding method and brought a high bid price of $8721/acre for  Hensley Township tracts 3,4,5.  Tracts 1 & 2, located in Mahomet Township,  were sold private treaty immediately following the close of the auction.  One buyer purchased all five tracts.  This farm consists of 334.21 acres of Class A soils, and lies at the edge of residential development in Mahomet.  It was sold subject to a two year undermarket cash rent agricultural lease and several easements.  Tracts 1&2 were available at auction with the cooperation of Russ Taylor, ReMax Realty.
